The 2024 New Stewards Training Class is being offered on Wednesday May 1, 2024.

The training is a prerequisite for anyone looking to become a steward in the future. There will be two times available. 9am to noon and 1pm to 4pm. If Wednesday is not your off day, the class needs to be worked around your work schedule. We cannot provide documentation if you end up missing work.

This is a basic stewards class. It will provide you with the knowledge to file a step 1 grievance and appeal it to step two of the Grievance/Arbitration procedure. The class in not intended to answer individual questions. Anyone in need of personal attention from a steward should request/contact one immediately.

Also, this class does not automatically make you a steward upon its completion. There is a process that all potential candidates must go through if they are selected to become stewards.
